When you think of rescuing people from slavery, you probably think of brothel raids, undercover stings, or dangerous investigations. This might surprise you, but one of the best tools we have to fight slavery is trauma care training.
For victims of sexual slavery, being rescued is only the beginning.
The journey to true freedom involves healing from physical and emotional trauma. Survivors can’t get there by themselves. They need safe people, who know how to work through trauma, to walk alongside them.
15 countries where trainings have taken place.
2,652 people have gone through our trauma care training.
Many community leaders know about slavery as an issue, but may not know how to help survivors as individuals. We developed our trauma care training to fill that knowledge gap. We train individuals, organizations, and professionals in trauma care for free. This helps surround survivors with safe people who can help them work through their trauma.
